There's something just magic about this watch. It's not flashy. It doesn't stand out in a crowd. Yet, it's so classy, well-built, easy to wear, and—it might sound strange—but it just makes me feel GOOD when I wear it. Of all my crazy watches, this is the one that has brought me the most joy through the years.

The square case is filled with 10k yellow gold. I upgraded it with a Hirsch 16mm blue leather band—bought from the my absolute favorite source of watchbands (Urhandel Bernhard Huke in Malmö, Sweden.)

It runs fantastically. The Swiss 17 jewel automatic-winding movement winds itself as you wear it—no battery or winding required. It's been mechanically serviced by our master watchmaker to operate as it did when new (circa 1947-1950.) It was completely disassembled (hundreds of tiny pieces), cleaned and inspected every piece, reassembled, calibrated, and polished—a value of over $200.

The cosmetic condition is good. There are light signs of wear on the case and winding crown commensurate with age and use, but it doesn't have any glaring defects, scratches, cracks, chips, or dings. The champagne dial with gold markers shows an obvious and fairly even patina—it looks old in a good way. The thick, curved front crystal appears to be original, and is in excellent condition.

The caseback reads: 10k GOLD FILLED

It is not rated as water resistant—therefore, keep it away from water.

It's not about telling time, or any of that stuff. It's about how it makes you feel. For creative individualists, a watch is a powerful tool that amplifies the expression of your individuality.

This watch has a six-month warranty on the inner mechanical movements. Contact me if anything goes awry and I'll help set it straight. (Note: the band and crystal are not covered, nor is damage from impact or water.) All shipping costs will be covered by the warranty. Repairing or servicing a watch like this generally costs $150-250, so the warranty is a great way to avoid those sort of service costs!

You can also upgrade to an extended mechanical warranty—or a total of 18 months.

Our two year (24 month) PLATINUM warranty offers the highest level of personal attention, taking all the worry out of owning a vintage watch. The benefits include:

- ALL mechanical repairs (inner movement mechanism) (worth $150-300)
- one free crystal replacement if you break it (worth $60)
- one free preventive maintenance servicing—deep cleaning, adjustment/calibration, and polishing of the case and crystal (worth $250)
- water and impact damage at 60% off list price (a savings of at least $150)
- insured USPS Priority Mail shipping costs both ways for any service or cleanings (worth at least $50)
- display box (worth $25)
- bedside/dresser-top presentation watch podium (worth $25)
- microfiber cleaning cloth (worth $5).

You can choose this option in the Variations at checkout.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will my package require a signature?

Yes. A signature is required for all shipments. That way you can rest assured that your items will arrive safely. Make sure to use a shipping address where someone can sign for your package, otherwise you'll have to go to the post office to collect it.

What shipping method do you use?

Items with free shipping are sent by USPS First Class with insurance and signature required. Upgraded shipping is USPS Priority Express mail with insurance and signature required.

Can I upgrade to faster shipping?

Yes! Upgraded shipping is via USPS Priority Express Mail with insurance and signature required. It usually takes 1-2 days within the continental USA.

Can I get a different colored watchband?

I have watchbands in many different styles, colors and materials. If you love the watch but want a different color band, send me a message. I'll see if I have the color you want in my inventory. If I don't, you can swap out the band for any strap you'd like by buying one online or taking it to your local jeweler or watch repair store.

Does my watch need a battery?

It depends on the watch.

1) Mechanical (hand-winding): These watches use a spring and gears to run. There is no battery. You must wind the watch once daily for it to keep running. Most of my watches are this kind.

2) Mechanical (automatic/kinetic): These use a spring and gears as well as a swinging pendulum that rotates as you move throughout the day. It winds itself. You don't need a battery and you don't need to wind it.

3) Quartz: These use batteries. Your watch will include a brand new battery. They can last anywhere from six months to a few years, depending on the watch.

I changed my mind! Can I cancel my order and get a full refund?

We don't accept cancellations for a refund. Instead, we offer you store credit which you can use on any of our other items. This store credit is good for one year.
