My Etsy shop lets me keep my collection ever-changing—while bringing you a curated collection of the coolest watches around. This old Timex is a prime example of the cutting edge design being employed on watches in the late 1960s. This Timex was a very inexpensive watch when new. All the big brands found themselves competing over who could make the most attractive yet cheapest possible watch. These were referred to as "dollar watches."
It's almost impossible to find dollar watches. The watches in this new low-price market were fashion accessories—like a nice purse or great pair of shoes—rather than serious jewelry. Dollar watches weren't built to last—and most of them didn't. People loved them and wore them out and simply replaced them. That's why this Timex is so special. It's in incredible cosmetic condition AND IT RUNS! (Which means it was probably sitting unused for the last sixty years.)
This very early Timex was made in Great Britain, back when Britannia still ruled the waves—and Hong Kong. Timex later moved their operations to Hong Kong, where build quality fell dramatically. (And it was already not so good to begin with.) Next they moved to China—which I can only assume was because of some weird suicide-cult sacrifice-ritual commitment to build the worst watches possible. (It worked.) But, that wasn't bad enough. So, in the 1990s they moved their factories from China into a dumpster full of baby diapers on fire in hell.
Sigh, yes, the glory days of Timex Great Britain are long gone. Jump on the chance to get a lovely ALL ORIGINAL Timex from UK, because it's highly unlikely you'll ever find another example as good as this one for this price. It's not fancy or made of precious metals and jewels. But, it's CERTAINLY simple, cool, and ultra stylish. People notice this one across the room, and you'll be surprised how frequently people come up and ask you about it.

I have watchbands in many different styles, colors and materials. If you love the watch but want a different color band, send me a message. I'll see if I have the color you want in my inventory. If I don't, you can swap out the band for any strap you'd like by buying one online or taking it to your local jeweler or watch repair store.
It depends on the watch.
1) Mechanical (hand-winding): These watches use a spring and gears to run. There is no battery. You must wind the watch once daily for it to keep running. Most of my watches are this kind.
2) Mechanical (automatic/kinetic): These use a spring and gears as well as a swinging pendulum that rotates as you move throughout the day. It winds itself. You don't need a battery and you don't need to wind it.
3) Quartz: These use batteries. Your watch will include a brand new battery. They can last anywhere from six months to a few years, depending on the watch.
We don't accept cancellations for a refund. Instead, we offer you store credit which you can use on any of our other items. This store credit is good for one year.
