Classy. Tasteful. CHAINMAIL.
If you want perfect summer accessories, graduation gifts, or fine vintage jewelry, then you obviously need CHAINMAIL.
Yes, this womens vintage watch has a blue and silver chainmail bracelet (aka Duchess band). Duchess bands—popular in the late 60s and early 70s—are rare, cool looking, and feel great on the wrist. (They were too expensive for companies to make and still be profitable. Not many were made. That's why they're rare. ) This one is 10k white gold filled stainless steel.
Think of it as a chainmail bracelet or piece of chainmail jewelry that also JUST HAPPENS to be a vintage Bulova watch. (It's a ladies sailing watch to be exact.)
This vintage Bulova watch was the last in their legacy of automatic mechanical movements. As they were phasing this watch out they were phasing in the new era of battery powered quartz watches. This unassuming watch was actually the culmination of Bulova's almost 100 years of mechanical watchmaking technology. This one had it ALL. It had the best watchband, the best automatic mechanical movement mechanism, it was water resistant, self winding, had glow in the dark hands, had a date feature, and was built TOUGH to be a diving watch—subjected to the most challenging conditions. You wouldn't know by looking at it, but this watch is seriously BADASS.
The silver champagne dial is accented by a red Rolex-style "sweeping" second hand and blue ring around the dial. It's automatic. This vintage timepiece doesn't use a battery—it winds itself as you walk. The cosmetic condition is very good, and the mechanicals have been fully serviced by a master watchmaker to function as good as the day it was first sold in 1971.
Here are ALL the specifics on this vintage Bulova watch:
• 1971 Bulova Ladies vintage watch with 10k white gold filled chainmail "Duchess" bracelet
• Glow in the dark hour and minute hands
• Stainless steel (silver tone) tonneau case, champagne silver dial face
• Dainty, but not tiny. 23mm width including winding crown (21mm without)
• 29mm tall lug-to-lug
• RARE original "Duchess" chain mail bracelet fits wrists up to 6.5" around
• No battery: Automatic winding, movement model 7EFACD, 17 jewels
• Six month warranty for the mechanical workings
Between you and me, wearing a vintage watch isn't really about telling time—although they do tell time. Really, it's about how the watch makes you feel. For creative individualists, a watch is a powerful tool that amplifies the expression of your individuality.
I offer a six-month warranty on the inner mechanical movements of my watches—excluding water and shock damage. Contact me if anything goes awry and I'll help set it straight.

I have watchbands in many different styles, colors and materials. If you love the watch but want a different color band, send me a message. I'll see if I have the color you want in my inventory. If I don't, you can swap out the band for any strap you'd like by buying one online or taking it to your local jeweler or watch repair store.
It depends on the watch.
1) Mechanical (hand-winding): These watches use a spring and gears to run. There is no battery. You must wind the watch once daily for it to keep running. Most of my watches are this kind.
2) Mechanical (automatic/kinetic): These use a spring and gears as well as a swinging pendulum that rotates as you move throughout the day. It winds itself. You don't need a battery and you don't need to wind it.
3) Quartz: These use batteries. Your watch will include a brand new battery. They can last anywhere from six months to a few years, depending on the watch.
We don't accept cancellations for a refund. Instead, we offer you store credit which you can use on any of our other items. This store credit is good for one year.
