This dainty 1951 Girard Perregaux vintage cocktail watch is tiny, gold, and LOVELY. The beauty is in the details. Check out the cool font on the number 6, or the way the front crystal curves into the marquise shaped case.
It's mounted on a Speidel 10k yellow gold filled stretch metal bracelet, which was very common during the 1950s-1960s. It fits wrists from 5.5" to 7.25" (14.0cm - 18.4cm) around. It is EASY and FREE for me to replace this bracelet if your wrist is bigger. Message me for more details. And...I fully restored this watch to operate like it did when it was new.
It's the perfect addition to a FANCY wrist near you! Refined and elegant, this delicate Swiss masterpiece brings a touch of class to whatever your attire may be. It adds a gold flourish to casual outfits, and falls right into place in both business and ESPECIALLY evening and formal-wear. It was MADE to wear with a little black dress.
It features a 17 jewel mechanical hand-winding movement. What are these jewels? They're special rubies inside the watch that keep the gears working forever. More rubies = more expensive = more accurate = longer life.
It sold for $95 in 1951. That works out to $956 today.

🕰 GIRARD PERREGAUX HISTORY 🕰
Girard Perregaux has been making high-end, "prestige-class" timepieces since 1791. It is globally recognized as one of the best Swiss maisons, with many people saying being, "they're the best, but only a watch repairman knows it." The company has always been a true manufacture, creating complete watches from the ground up, and specializing in complicated watches.
🔎 CONDITION 🔍
It's cosmetically in VERY GOOD condition. There are very faint (semi-microscopic) marks on the case and caseback commensurate with ~70 years of use and handling. There is a light, even patina on the dial. The movement, hands, crystal, and bracelet are in EXCELLENT condition.
HOW DOES IT RUN? The mechanical condition of the Girard Perregaux 68AF 17-jewel mechanical movement is LIKE NEW. I fully restored it to ensure you're getting a dependable, functional timepiece. Every single tiny piece of this watch was disassembled, cleaned, inspected, adjusted, reassembled, and calibrated to keep time as well as the day it was first made. Sounds expensive? It was. A full servicing and mechanical restoration like this generally costs at least $200. (That's over $200 that YOU don't have to pay.)
⏰ OPERATION ⏰
No battery—It's a hand-winding watch. Wind it daily to keep it running. If you want it to last a lifetime (or longer), keep it wound even when you're not wearing it.
It is NOT water resistant. Keep it dry!
Of course, it's not about telling time. It's about how it makes you feel. For creative individualists, a watch is a powerful tool that amplifies the expression of your individuality.

I have watchbands in many different styles, colors and materials. If you love the watch but want a different color band, send me a message. I'll see if I have the color you want in my inventory. If I don't, you can swap out the band for any strap you'd like by buying one online or taking it to your local jeweler or watch repair store.
It depends on the watch.
1) Mechanical (hand-winding): These watches use a spring and gears to run. There is no battery. You must wind the watch once daily for it to keep running. Most of my watches are this kind.
2) Mechanical (automatic/kinetic): These use a spring and gears as well as a swinging pendulum that rotates as you move throughout the day. It winds itself. You don't need a battery and you don't need to wind it.
3) Quartz: These use batteries. Your watch will include a brand new battery. They can last anywhere from six months to a few years, depending on the watch.
We don't accept cancellations for a refund. Instead, we offer you store credit which you can use on any of our other items. This store credit is good for one year.
